Digital Learning Development Manager, Education and Development (Ref: DLDM/EDD/HKSI/052025)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Digital Learning Development Manager to lead and oversee the creation, implementation, and management of digital learning solutions. Reporting to the Head of the Education and Development Department, you will play a key role in providing instructional design expertise for technology-based learning solutions while advising on the technical aspects of the Learning Management System (LMS) and multimedia tools and platforms.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

This role involves managing a team of developers, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of engaging, effective, and scalable learning experiences. The ideal candidate will have a blend of instructional design expertise, project management acumen, and leadership skills to drive the success of digital learning initiatives. You will be responsible for the following key areas:

Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of digital learning developers, instructional designers, and multimedia specialists
  • Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance team culture
  • Oversee resource allocation and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

Content Development and Instructional Design

  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of engaging and interactive digital learning content (e.g., eLearning modules, videos, simulations, microlearning, etc.)
  • Ensure learning materials are aligned with instructional design principles, learning objectives, and organisational goal
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in digital learning, leveraging tools such as gamification, AR/VR, and AI-driven learning

Project and Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, primarily IT departments, to identify technical requirements and ensure seamless integration of digital learning solutions
  • Work closely with external Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather content and translate it into effective digital learning solutions
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to quality standards, and alignment with client requirements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors to acquire high-quality eCourses that enhance and expand the Institute's digital learning library
  • Engage with clients to understand their needs, manage expectations, and oversee the development of customised courses tailored to their specifications

Quality Assurance and Evaluation

  • Establish and implement quality assurance processes to ensure the consistency and effectiveness of digital learning content
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of learning solutions, gathering feedback to continuously improve learner engagement and outcomes
  • Develop metrics and reporting tools to measure the success of digital learning initiatives

Technology and Innovation

  • Evaluate, implement, and optimise learning technologies such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) and authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate)
  • Research and recommend innovative tools, platforms, and methodologies to improve the scalability and effectiveness of digital learning programmes

Qualification and Experience Required:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree or above in Instructional Design, Learning and Development, Educational Technology, or a related field
  • At least seven (7) years of experience in digital learning development, instructional design, or a similar role
  • At least two (2) years of experience managing a team of developers or instructional designers
  • Hands-on experience designing eLearning content using tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar tools

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Strong project management skills and proven experience in managing system development and enhancement
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate and improve learning programmes
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning in the digital learning space
  • Expertise in digital learning technologies, including LMS administration and eLearning authoring tools
  • Knowledge of SCORM, xAPI, and other eLearning standards
  • Familiarity with graphic design and multimedia tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia) is a plus
  • Understanding of user experience (UX) and accessibility standards in digital learning
  • Good command in English and Chinese, both written and verbal.  Fluent in Putonghua will be an advantage
  • Strong communication and consulting skills with all levels, and internal and external stakeholders
  • A good team player who can work independently with a strong sense of responsibility and loyalty
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and perform effectively under pressure
  • Ability to work collaboratively, taking a leadership role when required and a supporting role where appropriate

Job Summary:

  • As a Digital Learning Developer, you will be responsible for creating visually engaging and user-friendly digital learning solutions to support the HKSI Institute's educational initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your multimedia skills and instructional design expertise to deliver impactful digital learning experiences.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with and provide support to teams within the Education and Development Department to deliver digital learning projects on time, within budget, and quality standards
  • Create content such as videos, animation, infographics and interactive eLearning courseware in line with branding guidelines and proofread learning materials to ensure consistency
  • Apply instructional design theories, practice, and methods to develop digital learning solutions
  • Develop effective and engaging storyboards, video scripts, job aids and other materials based on course design
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and vendors to define project requirements, and recommend effective development approaches, methods, and tools for digital learning initiatives
  • Perform quality assurance checks and conduct pilot runs of online courses on the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Stay informed about the latest trends in learning design and share instructional design best practices with the team to foster continuous improvement

Skills and Abilities Required: 

  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, Audition), Vyond and multimedia authoring tools
  • Experience with Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise 360) or similar course authoring software is a plus
  • Understanding of learning science and instructional design fundamentals (e.g., adult learning theory, ADDIE model, Mayer’s Principles of Multimedia Learning) will be an advantage - we provide comprehensive on-the-job training to support your development in this area
  • Good to have experience in LMS / eLearning platform
  • Proficiency in both written and oral English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua preferred
  • Good team player and able to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility

Qualification and Experience Required: 

  • At least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Educational Technology, Design, Education or a related discipline
  • At least Two (2) years of experience in eLearning / digital learning development / learning design
  • Candidates without the preferred degree, but holding instructional design certificates or diplomas, are also encouraged to apply
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered as a junior position, and fresh graduates are also welcomed

Client Training Administrative Officer, Membership and Business Development (Ref: AO/MBD/HKSI/042025)

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist supervisors to implement the training programme including on-site support
  • As the point-of-contact for clients on the logistics matters
  • Maintain the client training schedules
  • Provide logistic supports and ensure the training venue and equipment are properly set up, e.g. reserve classrooms, create virtual classroom sessions, computer, audio equipment, etc.
  • Prepare attendance records and the completion certificates
  • Assist in financials, e.g. draft invoice, month-end closing, etc.
  • Handle ad hoc tasks assigned by supervisors

Qualifications, Abilities and Experiences Required: 

  • Degree or above in any discipline, preferably in business administration
  • 1-3 years working experience
